My Mardi Gras performance secured the Gay vote

Given the only reason Gay marriage does not currently exist is my political ambition so I thought I'd out Gay everyone at this year's Mardi Gras and prove my Gay credentials.

I dropped a few kg's, hung up the man boobs and dosed in baby oil to make myself popular with the new constituency.

Boy did it work! Here's the uncensored highlights.. Let's just say the boys weren't Short-on this Bill.

Does it really matter if I'm a hypocrite?

I'm all for the Independent umpire being left to do their job. I've gone out on a limb to proclaim it.

The Fairwork Commission was a Labor baby, the love child produced when the ACTU sleeps with the Labor party. A bit like my good self.

I personally made sure it could rule on penalty rates and stacked the Commission with Union hacks to ensure it's Independence. I stand by the Fairwork Commission.

As a cheap populist it has to upset me when they make an unpopular Independent decision - they just aren't supposed to have balance. Bias was enshrined in this body.

So I'll stand up for anyone who might vote for me and do another backflip on another one of my deeply entrenched, personally held beliefs - if it gets me votes who can blame me!
