An election is in the air so I'll claim anything

I'm passionate about issues with the disabled, especially if they get me elected.

The Greens have raised this Royal Commission into the abuse of the disabled on a few occasions recently but I couldn't bring myself to support it. There may be vision of me parking in the disabled spot at Coles, it's not often - only on Saturdays when the place is chock a block.

Anyway the scent of victory has me more excited than a sixteen year old with a pocket full of viagra!

Call me courageous, but if it gets me elected I'l do it!

I'll even take it over by calling for a petition.

I demand gullible fools sign a petition for the Greens initiative that is likely already agreed by the Government and an initiative I've opposed previously.

Cheap populism some may say, I say political courage and leadership. Damn I hope Coles don't have cameras.

Deep thinking...

"Our rivers have traditionally been the shopping centres for birds and for fish, they were never meant to be dumping grounds for shopping trolleys and plastic bags"

Shorten for Fossil fuels

Shorten Supports Fossil fuels

Bill Shorten says he is not “a rampant greenie”, assuring workers in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley that believes fossil fuels have an ongoing place in Australia’s energy mix.
Visiting the Hazelwood coal-fired power station in Morwell to reiterate Labor’s support for hundreds of workers who will lose their jobs when it closes in March, the Opposition Leader said he recognised that fossil fuels are part of the energy mix, but that we must continue to modernise through greater support for renewable energy.
The government has accused Labor of contributing to the Hazelwood closure with its target of 50 per cent renewable energy by 2030.
“I am not a rampant greenie who thinks there is no place for fossil fuel in our energy mix in the future,” Mr Shorten said.
“It is part of our energy mix. We are seeing our electricity and our power industries modernising.

Hey everyone, I've JUST discovered Inequality

Inequality - a very recent issue that has accelerated in the past 12 months under Malcolm Turnbull and I'm concerned about it. In fact I'll fix it!

Of course it's only a very recent phenomenon and given I'm Australia's most flexible politician I'll add it to my list of moral challenges I've fought hard for...

It worked for Bernie and Jeremy so what the hell I'm in.

SOME OF THE BOOKS WRITTEN ON INEQUALITY I MISSED
WHILE I WAS IN GOVERNMENT

Battlers and Billionaires by Andrew Leigh 2013 - this one was written by a member of the Labor government Andrew Leigh in 2013 when Labor was in government - bugger, I missed it!

And CNN listed it's top 99 books on inequality in 2013!
